What you'll do

Choose from the following shift patterns. AM shift 06.00 - 14.00, PM Shift 14.00 - 22.00 or Night Shift 22.00 - 06.00.
Warehouse experience is desirable but not essential. You must be willing to learn to operate reach, pump and pallet trucks as part of the role.
The beauty of our warehouse is that we don't expect you to work a rotating shift pattern. You'll work a static shift pattern over a 6 week period which will include 2 weekends in 6. This means you always know in advance which days you are in and which days you are off, helping you to balance work and home life.
You may have heard on the grapevine about our phenomenal success story. We are experiencing some fast paced growth here at Toolstation, opening up to 60 new stores a year as well as growing our online presence. This means we need products to be distributed to our 500 + network of branches right when they need them. We're going through a really positive culture change here in our DC. We are investing heavily in training and developing our people - helping them to become the best they can be. That means, driving up quality for our customers but also for our people. You’ll be the backbone of Toolstation, making sure the right products arrive on time and in perfect condition. The key is working quickly, checking deliveries for accuracy, picking the right products every time, checking they’re correct and dispatching them perfectly for deliveries.
Work hard for our customers and you won’t always be stuck in the same position. We will ensure you get to learn all aspects of warehouse operations. There’s an appetite here to promote from within and to grow our internal talent. Many of our manager population started out on the shop floor or warehouse operation. As part of the Travis Perkins Group, the opportunities for the future are real but you need to work hard and put the effort in to make a difference from day one.
Day-to-day
Mucking in. Whether you're working in pick, dispatch, inbound, outbound or replenishment you'll help make sure our products are dispatched to our growing estate of 300+ branches across the UK.
Being accurate. This is key in whichever department you're on - from working off pick sheets, accurately identifying and counting products at speed to checking deliveries for accuracy and damage.
Keeping active. Walking, a lot! Being on your feet for long periods of time, lifting high volumes of items and climbing stairs.
Building a fun working environment. Maintaining our great product availability and standards, while making sure that your Distribution Centre is somewhere everyone loves coming to work.
What you'll bring
And hard work and passion. You don’t need Warehouse experience. Just be focused the job in-hand and we’ll teach you the rest.
A love of physical work. Happy to work in an environment that’s hot in the summer and cold in the winter where you’re on your feet all day and lifting heavy items.
Attention to detail. Able to work to a high level of accuracy whilst working quickly.
