Tool Hire - Fast Track Management Apprentice

Ever thought of a Management Apprentice opportunity, we are looking for candidates to join our business as Fast Track Tool Hire Management Apprentices.

Where will I be based?

Initially, at our Melton Mowbray branch based on 1 Pate Road, Leicester road industrial estate LE13 0DG  , but on occasion you may visit other local branches. Our Melton Mowbray branch has over 8 colleagues, 2 delivery vehicles and a successful Tool Hire department.  This is a busy branch with a footfall of over 50 Trade customers per day, some of which we know of on a first name basis.  This is a busy and vibrant branch and the Branch Manager has created a fun and professional environment, so you will be in good hands from day one, so don't worry.

• We are offering a competitive salary between £20-24k, plus an annual bonus
• 22 days holiday, plus bank holidays

Hours - Monday to Friday 7.30pm - 5.00pm and every other Saturday 8.00am-12.00pm.  (you only need to work 2 in 4 Saturdays, and you could utilise this time in branch or at home for your course work.)

How will we support you?

Right from the start of your career with us, you’ll be supported in your development. You’ll join our Travis Perkins Certificate in Tool Hire, for the first 12 months you’ll build up technical knowledge on our tools and equipment ranges and a strong understanding of our business so that you can confidently and safely serve our customers and develop lasting and profitable relationships with them.

If you have the drive and ambition to develop your career further, then you can progress onto our Level 3 Management Programme in year two, where you’ll focus on developing your skills as a leader. You’ll learn about different leadership techniques, allowing you to pick the one you think will work best for you. 

• Through 1:1 coaching, mentoring, digital study and technical and skills training, you’ve got a fantastic support network that will support you, not only through the apprenticeship programme, but your day to day development to enable you to progress to a management position. 
• Our Apprenticeships are focused on your development and factor study time into your working week, so you can achieve your qualification without affecting your work-life balance.

What are we looking for?

You don’t need any previous experience to be considered for our Fast Track Tool Hire Management Apprenticeship, but for the best chance of securing yourself a place you’ll need to be someone who:

• Knows what great customer service looks like – and how to provide it
• Is able to build relationships with people at all levels and enjoys working within a sales environment
• Loves to learn, develop and expand their knowledge and self develop themselves
• Is willing to travel, and be flexible in terms of location
• Holds a full UK driving licence (or be taking your test soon)
