Job Description

Do you want to be a trailblazer! Joining the award-winning Tool Hire Team as Managed Services Account Manager. This is a brand new role within Travis Perkins, supporting some of our biggest customers, growing their accounts, and building relationships with key stakeholders across the group, this is a pivotal role in the development of the Managed Services offer for Tool Hire.  This is a remote-based role, one covering the South and one covering the North of the country with a base location of home, you will also be required to travel to our Head Office in Northampton from time to time.


With the ability to work remotely and within a team, you will enjoy taking responsibility and will be confident in taking on a variety of everyday challenges, while maintaining great customer and colleague relationships.

 

What will I be doing?

No one day is the same as the next in TP Tool Hire, but here are a few pointers:

  • Our success is built on strong relationships with our customers so it’s essential that you can help support the customer with day to day issues together with developing the offer and supporting added value initiatives.

  • With your learned knowledge of the products and services we offer, you will be a pivotal contact for our customers, nurturing great relationships, understanding their needs in order to offer expert advice and recommending alternatives to meet their individual needs and maximise the revenue for Tool Hire

  • Tenders, bids and framework agreements will become part of your normal day, together with a number of other important contractual agreements, retaining contracts and becoming integral to the tender process are a big part of any account managers role

  • Supporting the customer in providing the correct management information to support the customer to make informed decisions about their business and enhance our relationship at all levels.

  • Close alignment with the MS Account Manager, working in conjunction to deliver seamless management to the customer.

  • Negotiate long term hire business in order to support contract retention and increased revenue

  • Integral link between the customer, Operational team and Direct Hire to ensure a smooth running contract.

What experience do you need?

Previous experience within Tool Hire would be advantageous but not essential, attention to detail and stakeholder management is essential together with the ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally, ideally having previously worked in the public sector.
