Do you have Territory/Area Sales experience? Do you enjoy a sales environment?  Do you love meeting a diverse range of people and are a team player? Ever thought of being an Territory Sales Representative? If so, then Benchmarx Kitchen and Joinery would love to hear from you! You don't need to come from our sector, or have product knowledge, we will provide you with all the training and development you need.  Benchmarx may have only been established in 2006, but we're already a major supplier to the UK's building and construction market.


This role is to cover Luton, Welwyn Garden City, Harlow and Aylesbury and yo can be local to any of these areas.  You must have a full Drivers License, as you will be travelling to customers when required.  


Where will you be working? 


Working in this key customer facing role, everything you do is focused on delivering our strategy and nurturing our values. You’ll drive sales and continually review our products and markets to target new business opportunities within your territory. You will build up a network of contacts and customers whilst maintaining excellent communications with key stakeholders in our business.


You will maintain customer satisfaction through regular contact and developing business plans. You’ll work with branches in your territory to execute action plans and increase sales.


Your working hours will be Monday - Friday 7.30am - 5.00pm 


Please note that this role is field based covering Branches in Luton, Welwyn Garden City, Aylesbury and Oxford.

What will you be doing?


Our most successful Territory Sales Representatives come from a variety of different sectors and backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common, they deliver an exceptional ‘Customer Experience’.


  • Develop and execute an effective call matrix / cycle which optimises time spent with customers and ensures thorough and regular coverage of assigned geographic areas.

  • Ensure that all opportunities to develop business within territory are exploited on a regular basis (e.g. sales leads, existing & new sites, local media and branch initiated leads).

  • Work in close liaison with the branches within allocated territory to target new, existing  and non-trading customers and to direct necessary resources into generating profitable sales from those opportunities.

  • Liaise with other sales personnel, in order to maximise every opportunity which arises from contacts made with potential and existing group customers.

  • In liaison with Branch and Sales Management, jointly develop and execute branch specific action plans and initiatives.

  • Establish and maintain accurate records of all customer contacts and associated information, updating company reporting systems and databases as required.

  • Form working relationships with sales personnel of key suppliers operating within assigned territory, ensuring that use of effective joint calling activity is maximised

  • New business prospect leads - Both Kitchens & Joinery

  • New Benchmarx accounts opened

  • Dormant spending account interaction

  • Customer visits


The Territory Sales Representative is primarily responsible for the management of their own time, but they have an indirect responsibility for managing / coordinating the actions of branch based support personnel in order to ensure optimal customer service is delivered and maintained.
