Job Description

We, at Travis Perkins have an exciting, new role for a Supplier Development Manager within our General Merchanting Division. You will be responsible for designing, developing and delivering strategic projects in support of the General Merchanting Supply Chain strategic plan. These projects include technological developments, customer fulfilment options, network redesign and operational efficiencies. This role will principally support development of our Lightside Operations, serving branches through through the Primary Distribution Hub in Northampton.

Alongside the above you will also be responsible for:

  • Lead warehouse re-design projects on behalf of the division to enable operational efficiency and maximum use of site capacity.

  • Review internal route to market options and assess profitability of internal networks. Identify new routes to market as appropriate.

  • Feed into new core development projects, to ensure alignment between warehouse and branch systems and stakeholder priorities.

  • Work with commercial category teams and product supply to flag supply and route to market issues for resolutions, so we have the best availability we can in branch.

  • Develop and deliver joint improvement action plans on product availability for branches/ regions in conjunction with the Regional Business Support Manager.
