Senior Administrator (Bid Writer)
12 Month FTC

We, at Travis Perkins are looking for you to join us as a Senior Administrator (Bid Writer) where you will have various responsibilities for creating, managing and writing the content and submission of Travis Perkins Managed Services bids for new opportunities and re-tenders. This will also involve the use of bid strategies dependent on customer type, tender process and bid solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Developing bid strategies for re-tenders, new tenders and supply only initiatives (and secure them).

  • Creative and innovative writing in respect to the format and content of MS bids.

  • Co-ordinating the dissemination of best practise throughout MS bids.

  • Ensure best practise initiatives with MS clients are being recorded in a format for re-tenders including evidencing product, pricing, service, IT, community initiatives.

  • Manage submissions through supporting relevant stakeholders in order to design and produce the bid documentation to meet client needs

  • Collate knowledge of account activity in advance of a re-tender..

  • Develop a consistent approach to feedback from bids and methods for responding to any challenges.

  • Ensure good links with key head office departments to deliver effective and current answers to questions in bids

Your excellent organisational and communication skills will be utilised on a daily basis, as you will be liaising with internal/external stakeholders and taking ownership of bids and re-tenders. Your strong IT skills and MS package experience, will be key for you to get the ground running with creative and innovative writing for our bids. Along with the above, you'll also need: - Proven senior administration experience (it would be beneficial if you have previous experience in writing bids and managing submissions, however we will be able to provide training).
