Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Operations Manager to join our Travis Perkins Managed Services team based in the West Midlands area. 

Our Managed Services team provide contract solutions for local authorities and the housing community, offering a bespoke service to suit the needs of the customer. As an Operations Manager every day will be a little different, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys variety and a challenge.

Managed Services are continuing to grow year on year, and we’re looking for a dynamic person to join us on our exciting journey!

What you’ll do
  • Agree all product prices, range and requirements with the client prior to the commencement date in accordance with the tender submission and with the approval/sign off of the Commercial Director. Complete price and range suitability reviews regularly, and in accordance with any contractual agreement and approval/sign off of the Commercial Director, ensuring profitability is maintained at budget levels or above
  • Ensure all supplier support agreements are maintained and renewed
  • Ensure that the Company meets all of its contractual obligations during the lifetime of the project, increasing the likelihood of contract extension at the point of re-tender
  • Support the implementation of all initiatives relating to continuous improvement, (e.g. IT integration, mobile working, product switching, service delivery, environmental, waste, etc), ensuring that a record of this is kept for re-tender purposes
  • Work with the TPMS team to mobilise new contracts and stores
  • Coordinate with and support the store / branch network at TPMS customer supply locations

Is this you
You may currently be a Branch/Assistant Branch Manager within the Travis Perkins Group looking for your next challenge, or have industry experience in a customer facing role. To be successful, we’re looking for you to have excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of individuals. You’ll also need to be customer focused, a good negotiator and have sound commercial awareness. Most importantly, you’ll be proactive, with real drive and ambition to succeed!
