Health & Safety Business Partner

Travis Perkins Plc is split into 4 trading divisions.  Our General Merchanting Division, which includes Travis Perkins Builders Merchants, is looking for a safety professional to join us in providing hands on Health and Safety Business Partnering supporting the South East region.

In this role, you will report to one of our Lead Health and Safety Business Partners and focus on providing support to our branches in London and the South East.  This includes: carrying out safety assurance visits, supporting managers and Regional Directors with incident investigation, undertaking specialist risk assessments as well as ad-hoc advice.

No two days will be the same and you will have a high degree of autonomy, as well as the opportunity to work on business wide safety improvement projects.  You will also be part of a large Group wide community of Health and Safety professionals, meaning someone is always on hand to share ideas or talking things through, as well as giving you access to a number of potential safety career paths.

It would be great if you had…


  • Hold  at least a NEBOSH Certificate
  • Graduate or Technical member of IOSH

  • Previous experience in a multi site safety advisory role

  • Have excellent communication skills

  • Time Management: Ability to work effectively independently

  • Able to present to BMs & RD level

  • IT skills (word, excel, powerpoint etc)

  • A sound technical understanding of Health & Safety

  • Goal focused

  • Ability to influence at branch level and work at all levels

  • Be Engaging  and passionate
