Job Description

We’re recruiting for a Finance Business Partner for Supply Chain to join our General Merchanting based in Northampton. This is a high profile role in Travis Perkins, with supply chain at the heart of our 5 year plan. You’ll be working on many exciting projects to transform our distribution network and have the chance to make a name for yourself to the senior leadership team.

 The role involves being the lead business partner to the General Merchanting Supply Chain teams, providing analytical insight and influencing your stakeholders to make the best financial and commercial decisions to deliver results. You’ll need to be a self starter who is continuously looking for ways of improvement, providing insightful data and challenging key business partners to improve performance and processes.

 You will be responsible for:

-          Producing KPI reports and supporting decision making to deliver results. You will Business partner with the Divisional “Heads of Functions” to understand the key performance metrics, supporting the operational delivery of our distribution network.

-          Managing investment appraisal business cases for Supply Chain Development projects. Modelling the impact on financial return and working capital, and being the finance lead in project teams from concept through to delivery.

-      Supporting the delivery of the 5 Year Plan budget and forecasting cycles. Working closely with business partners to deliver a robust planning cycle, identifying risks, opportunities and efficiency plans.

-          Managing month end procedures to continuously improve processes, deliver insightful reporting and lead the identification and mitigation of performance variances.

-          Leading and developing one direct report

To be considered, you will need to be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with proven and demonstrable post qualification experience. It’s also an advantage to have specific supply chain experience. Ultimately, we’re looking for someone who is able to drive results for our Supply Chain team
