Finance Analyst - Transport & Stock

If so then we have the role for you! We’re recruiting for a Commercial Finance Analyst to join the General Merchanting division based in Northampton.

Supporting the Finance Business Partner, alongside many exciting projects, you’ll provide management accounting and analytical support to the General Merchanting finance team to help drive the best financial and commercial decisions to deliver operational results.  This will be achieved by the delivery of accurate, consistent and insightful reports that allow the finance business partners and operations team to drive performance.

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Create and develop KPI reports that drive actionable insight and improved business performance.  Play an active role in the implementation and adoption of a new financial reporting system that will enable data analysis.

• Provide analytical support to the Finance Business Partners across the Supply Chain finance team to enable performance challenges.

• Deliver reports for the monthly divisional board pack that provide the Exec team with clear data that is easily understood and can be used to drive actionable insights.

• Play a key supporting role in the delivery of the 5 Year Plan, budget and forecasting cycles.  Work closely and the Finance business partners to help deliver a robust planning cycle.

• Support month end accounting and reporting processes including P&L and balance sheet, producing robust accounts with variances that are well understood and communicated

• Continuously challenge current processes and recommend improvements to all aspects of reporting and analysis.  Strive to improve processes and reduce time on data production so analysis becomes the key focus.

• Plan and manage small scale projects to improve reporting processes or investigate reasons behind performance variances.

To be considered, you will need to be a part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with some experience in Finance till date. If you are ambitious, hardworking and looking for a challenging role with real exposure then we would love to hear from you!
