We have a brand new opportunity as an Apprentice Project Assistant to join Travis Perkins. This role is to support the Programme Director in delivering key business projects. What you’ll do
As an Apprentice Project Assistant you will support the Programme Director to deliver key business change and improvement projects through effective project management, reporting, communication and supporting the project leads within the team. You will add real value by being the key communication link between the team, ensuring all actions are carried out and that all business communications are fit for purpose and delivered in the correct tone and language.
To support your development within this role, you will enrol onto our Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. This is a 12 month programme delivered by our award winning internal apprenticeship team and will allow you to build your confidence with project management, continuous improvement and change management skills.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage project documents and make sure that any risks and issues mitigation actions are carried out.
Take ownership and accurately update key documents that are used by the team.
Make sure that all business change communications are clear and fit for the business, linking with our Marketing and Communications teams to deliver this messaging.
Identify new business improvement opportunities and bring them forward to the team to add to the project pipeline.

To be successful in this role you will need to be proactive in your approach, highly organised and demonstrate strong influencing skills. Previous project management experience would be advantageous but with full training provided within the role, this is not essential.
